HOW
DO I... Make
Appointments?
The surgery operates a 48-hour appointment
system. We also have a limited number of same-day appointments or, for advance
bookings, patients are able to book appointments one week in advance. Appointments
can be arranged over the telephone on 01505 502888 or
in person by calling into the surgery. Telephone consultations are available
for patients not requiring face-to-face consultations. Patients experiencing
difficulties in obtaining a suitable appointment are asked to give the receptionist
as much information as possible along with a contact number to pass on to the
doctor.
By Appointment
We now offer a number of telephone consultations for each doctor. these can be booked in advance.
Telephone
Access
Patients who wish to speak to our doctors or practice nurses can do so at any time
during normal working hours by leaving their name, address and contact number
with a brief description of the nature of the call with the receptionist (telephone
01505 502888).
HOW
DO I...
Obtain
Home Visits?
(Telephone 01505 502888)
If you are too ill or frail to get
to the surgery and you need a home visit, please ring the surgery between 9.00
and 10.00am. This will assist in planning the doctors' rounds. Urgent visits may
be requested by telephoning the surgery at any time. Please remember, however,
that house visits are time-consuming. The doctor can see four patients in the
surgery for every one at home, so please try to attend the surgery if possible.
Please give the receptionist as much information as possible including your telephone
number. House visits are at the doctors' discretion and they may wish to call
you, either to ascertain the urgency of the visit or to allocate an appointment
for you to come to surgery if at all possible.
HOW
DO I... Obtain
Test Results?
(Telephone 01505 502888)
Specimens for the hospital labs are
collected twice daily at 11.30am and 5.00pm. Results are also received by then
and need to be screened by the doctor. Please phone for results after 4.00pm.
Information will not be given to another person without your permission. Please
note that pregnancy test results should be given in person. Please state if you
are unable to collect your result and will therefore require the result to be given over
the phone.
