CHRONIC DISEASE CLINICS
If you suffer from any chronic disease we will invite you to attend for review at least once per year. You will be sent a letter in the month of your birthday inviting you to make an appointment with one of our Practice Nurses to attend for review of all the chronic conditions you have. If you are unable to attend the Surgery, please let us know and one of our District Nursing Team can visit you at home to carry out these checks. Please ask at Reception if you haven’t been called.
DROP IN CONTRACEPTIVE CLINIC
Nurse Anderson provides a drop in clinic on Wednesday evenings from 5.30 – 6.30 p.m, no appointment necessary, please give your details to receptionist as you arrive in the premises. Please note that this clinic is solely provided by Nurse Anderson and maybe cancelled for periods of annual leave and study leave.
CERVICAL SMEAR CLINIC
Nurse McKay provides a Wednesday evening clinic from 5.30 – 6.30p.m. Appointment necessary and can be booked one month in advance. Please note that this clinic is provided by Nurse McKay and maybe cancelled for periods of annual leave and study leave.
HEALTH EDUCATION CLINICS
We all know that prevention is better than cure. Our Practice Nurses focus on disease prevention with assessment of risk factors and health promotion. Please contact the Receptionists if you wish to make an appointment.
SMOKING CESSATION CLINICS
Our nursing team are available to offer advice and support to those who wish help in stopping smoking. Other smoking cessation services are available out with the Practice e.g. local pharmacist and Fresh Airshire. Please ask if you require further details.
