Health Care Assistants
The health care assistants provide support to our practice nurses and doctors by performing new patient assessments, blood pressure checks, spirometry tests, ECGs and stitch removal. They will also do blood tests (phlebotomy) by appointment following a doctor’s referral.
The team includes:
Caithlyn Smith (Head Receptionist)
Kim Berrie, Marilyn Rodden, Gillian McQuade and Janice Murray
Karen McGregor (Results Handler and Administrator)
The reception staff will assist you in making emergency and routine appointments to see your doctor, undertake repeat prescriptions, answer numerous and varied questions and offer help and assistance at all times.
It is a legal requirement that confidentiality of patients’ records is maintained at the highest level by all staff. Although our staff are highly trained, we must point out that they are not qualified to give medical advice.
